ADVANCED POWDER TECHNOLOGY

ADV POWDER TECHNOL

ISSN / eISSN

0921-8831 / 1568-5527

Aims and Scope

The aim of Advanced Powder Technology is to meet the demand for an international journal that integrates all aspects of science and technology research on powder and particulate materials. The journal fulfills this purpose by publishing original research papers, rapid communications, reviews, and translated articles by prominent researchers worldwide.

The editorial work of Advanced Powder Technology, which was founded as the International Journal of the Society of Powder Technology, Japan, is now shared by distinguished board members, who operate in a unique framework designed to respond to the increasing global demand for articles on not only powder and particles, but also on various materials produced from them.

Advanced Powder Technology covers various areas, but a discussion of powder and particles is required in articles. Topics include: Production of powder and particulate materials in gases and liquids(nanoparticles, fine ceramics, pharmaceuticals, novel functional materials, etc.); Aerosol and colloidal processing; Powder and particle characterization; Dynamics and phenomena; Calculation and simulation (CFD, DEM, Monte Carlo method, population balance, etc.); Measurement and control of powder processes; Particle modification; Comminution; Powder handling and operations (storage, transport, granulation, separation, fluidization, etc.)

Verified Reviews

Note: Verified reviews are sourced from across review platforms and social media globally.

Replying, from submission to rejection took 4 months. It seems that 4 reviewers were assigned, and only 2 provided feedback. One requested revisions, suggesting that I include more experimental descriptions and address language issues. The other initially praised the writing but mentioned that it did not fit the scope of this journal. They recommended me to submit to a non-open access, top-tier journal in the first quartile. Ultimately, the editor rejected it. Hmmmm, just giving you all a reference. If it leans towards chemistry, go for it. If it leans towards engineering and manufacturing, you might want to reconsider.

In the field of metallurgical engineering, significant innovation is required in order to pass the editing stage and be considered for review. Despite being an advanced powder technology, the acceptance rate for articles in the field of metallurgical engineering is very low. The overall quality of the journal is very good, and the three external reviewers are all very responsible. We hope that the journal will continue to improve.
