Holly Jolly Christmas Punch

Several years ago, I shared a Christmas punch recipe here on Inspired by Charm. (My Jingle Juice Holiday Punch.) Since then, that has been one of the most popular posts on my blog during the Christmas season.

Well, I’m back with another punch recipe that’s about to give Jingle Juice a run for its money.

I love crafting co*cktails for the holiday – there are so many festive flavors I love incorporating into stunning-looking drinks for entertaining. I adore festive co*cktails so much I have an entire post dedicated to them. You can find all of my favorite Christmas co*cktail recipes HERE.

When it comes to easy entertaining, I love making a punch. It’s always a hit and is an easy way to set the Christmasy mood. When people come over, I can create a big batch and let people refill themselves while I’m busy worrying about food! It’s an easy way to keep a big crowd happy.

Like most punches, this Holly Jolly Christmas Punch is so simple to make and will please the palate of everyone — every one of legal drinking age, of course! In fact, I just made this punch this past weekend before my mom arrived, and she loved the recipe as much as I did.

So if you’re looking for a simple and easy Christmas punch recipe that is sure to be a hit, you’ve found it in my Holly Jolly recipe!

Ingredients for Christmas Punch:

Here’s what you’ll need to recreate this recipe.

  • Pineapple Juice: I use canned pineapple juice to make things nice and easy. It’s just as sweet and tasty as the fresh stuff! If you want to make this punch sweeter, just add more pineapple juice.
  • Cranberry Juice: Because it’s Christmas, you’ll need some cranberry juice. The punch also takes on a beautiful pinky-red hue due to the juice.
  • Squirt: I absolutely love the combination of grapefruit and cranberry, so adding in some Squirt soda gives some delicious citrus flavor as well as fizz.
  • Tequila: I like to stick to reasonably good quality liquor, even when it’s hiding in a punch. You don’t need top-tier tequila, but a medium-range silver tequila is perfect. For this recipe, I used Sauza.
  • Cranberries and Limes: Every good punch needs a beautiful garnish! I add cranberries to the ice cubes as well as a few floaters alongside the sliced limes.

If you’re anything like me, you might be surprised that tequila is the liquor of choice for this Christmas punch. To be honest, when I got the recipe from a friend, I was a bit concerned, as tequila isn’t my favorite unless it’s served in margarita form.

However, don’t let the tequila fool you. I actually had my mom try this punch, and she had no idea it was made with tequila. She just loved the flavor as much as I did. Just remember there’s tequila hiding in there before you don’t have too many glasses of this Christmas punch!

How to make Holly Jolly Christmas Punch:

It’s easy! You can quickly provide drinks for your guests by allowing them to fill up their cups with this self-serve punch.

  1. Add cranberry juice, pineapple juice, tequila, and Squirt into a large punch bowl.
  2. Stir to combine.
  3. Add large ice cubes to chill.
  4. Garnish with fresh cranberries and lime slices.

As you might have expected, this is pretty easy. You just add everything to a large punch bowl, toss in some ice, and serve immediately.

Because you want the fizz of the soda, this isn’t a punch you would make in advance. Instead, make it just before you’re ready to serve it.

I’ve provided the exact ingredients and instructions in the printable recipe card below.

I love using large ice cubes for the ice when I’m making Christmas punch. Not only do they take longer to melt, but when filled with pretty things like cranberries, pomegranate arils (seeds), and lime slices, they make any punch look quite beautiful too.

You can find the exact mold I used HERE; I have had them for years and love them!

And because I know I’m going to get questions about this fabulous punch bowl and glassware set, I wanted to let you know I purchased it last year at CB2. Unfortunately, it’s no longer available on their site. If it becomes available once again, I’ll be sure to update this post with a link.

For now, you can find a similar one on Amazon here.

This Christmas punch has 24 (regular) servings. It’s great for a holiday dinner or a Christmas party where you’re looking to relax and spend some good time with the ones you love. You can’t celebrate the season without a festive co*cktail in hand!
